Description

The Caitlin Snow Nominee Trust of Quincy has claimed a $1 million Mega Millions prize from a ticket bought at a Cohasset gas station.

The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, claimed the $1 million prize (before taxes) Thursday, Aug. 17, at the state Lottery headquarters in Dorchester.

The winning ticket was purchased at Fiori’s Gulf at 740 Chief Justice Cushing Highway in Cohasset. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

The first five numbers on the ticket matched those selected in the multistate game’s drawing Aug. 1, when the advertised jackpot was $1.1 billion.

Other winners who also matched five of the numbers from that drawing include two in California and one each in New York, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
