Description

In Plymouth, the town has a new website much to the relief of those who have been frustrated trying to navigate the old one.

Many people are responsible for the website’s new look, one of them is Anthony Senesi, the Assistant to the Select Board and Town Manager.

Anthony Senesi says it was a team effort:

“We had a web design team comprised of the Information Technology Director, Joe Young, the Town Clerk Kelly McElreath and Mary Beth MacQuarrie, who is in Information Technology.”

And there are several significant improvements:

“One is the consolidation of meeting materials, for agendas and minutes—town meeting information, for people to access how to submit an article, things of that nature. It’s all in one location,” said Senesi.

Senesi says getting permits has been simplified:

“It is a one-stop shop for all permitting in town and the Inspectional Services Department spearheaded that. So it’s a lot easier, a business owner, a contractor, a homeowner doesn’t have to go in to Town Hall to file a permit—they can do it all online, 24/7.”

Reporting a non-emergency problem has gotten a lot easier:

“There is something called SeeClickFix —that is an online reporting system that residents can use to report pot holes, fallen trees—any type of issue.”
